How it works
How we quote, scan and draft
We look at your building before we price it.
-
You send the building, we price it
Use the quote form or email us. We need the address, the approximate size, the drawings you need and the format, DWG or PDF. Existing plans or photos help.
Why we quote by email, not over the phone
We check the site on aerial imagery and property records first, so the price reflects your building, not a guess made on a call. You get the quote within 1 business day.
What sets the price
- Size. Square footage and the number of floors.
- Detail. The sheets and detail you need; see the sheet index.
- Distance. How far the site is from Houston.
-
We scan the site
We walk the building room by room with a handheld laser scanner. Homes and commercial buildings alike.
What we need from you
- Access to every room you want drawn.
- Notice of occupied spaces or hours we can't be there.
-
We draft from the scan
Linework is drawn over the point cloud in AutoCAD. Critical dimensions are also checked on site with a tape and a laser distance meter.
Scanner: Livox Mid-360, rated to 2 cm range precision at 10 m (1σ, manufacturer's spec). Most of what we scan indoors is closer than 10 m.
-
You get the drawings
Within 1 business day of the scan, as DWG or PDF. See a sample sheet.
