As-built drawing questions
What are as-built drawings?
Drawings of a building as it stands today, not as it was designed. We draw them from a laser scan of the site.
Is this a survey?
No. We draw existing building conditions. We don't do land, boundary or title surveys; for those, hire a licensed surveyor.
What do they cost?
It depends on the building's size, the drawings you need and how far the site is from Houston. We look at the site and email you a quote within 1 business day.
How long do they take?
Drawings arrive within 1 business day of the scan.
What formats do you deliver?
DWG for AutoCAD, or PDF.
Do you draw houses?
Yes. Homes and commercial buildings.
Where do you work?
Houston, Austin, San Antonio, Dallas–Fort Worth and the Gulf Coast.
How accurate are the drawings?
Dimensions come from the laser scan, and critical dimensions are checked on site with a tape and a laser distance meter. The scanner's rating is on How it works.
What do you need from me?
The address, the approximate size, the drawings you need and the format. On scan day, access to every room you want drawn. Existing plans or photos help.
